After trashing dancefloors and soundsystems worldwide with extreme jungalist breakcore, Mathhead dives into the realms of dubstep/slowstep with his 12″ Dirty Deeds. Dirty Deeds is filled with dark dubs, aggressive rhythms, and gritty synths that will further define the genre of dubstep in the United States and beyond. This 4 track 12″ brings you a flavor of the New York City dub scene that is surely not to disappoint.

“South Bronx” opens up the 12″ with deep swelling bass, atmospheric hits, and mechanical buzzing that will grind your body into submission. The steady rhythm pushes you farther into the dark alleys where dub and tech step intersect. “Bullets of Your Sound (Remix)” mashes up the sounds of Drop the Lime and Mad EP. Slowly building with acid basses and blips, this track breaks out with vocals and skittery drums.

Flip it to side B and the distortion of “Parasites” will have you shaking and dropping to the floor. This Roughneck anthem winds up into a mess of dark bass and swelling metallic hits. Finishing out the 12″ is “Dream Tigers” which starts out smooth on the down low but soon opens up into an all out dub war assault. Shattering amens, sirens, and squelchy acid drops set the mood for annihilation.
